When streets are kept so narrow its very difficult to have a proper network of bus-lanes. If bridges are stubbornly kept so narrow, then there should be some bus-bridges.

That's the Vancouverism mentality in action.

Unfortunately, nothing like the Tilikum_Bridge has been allowed to be built in Vancouver or anywhere in BC.

Fortunately, the Vancouver mentality was never able to prevent Seattle & Portland from reviving some of their streetcar lines.

Unfortunately unlike several cities, Vancouver has taken a very slow approach towards building a potential bus-bridge or a bus-tunnel. Especially, opting to take a slow growth approach towards getting a commuter train across the inlet. Aparenty, it's so much better to maintain bottleneck planning with so many chokepoints. Fortunately, most cities refuse to adhere to Vancouverizing urban areas.
